Joan Buzick, Author / Composer
Joan Buzick is an acclaimed speaker, author, composer and a champion for teachers, children and parents. She is known for her wit, humor and music, and for telling the story of how children are designed to love learning.
Joan has enjoyed a full career working in the field of education with children of all ages. She founded Little Fiddler Academy, a child development center that introduced children to many musical experiences including playing the violin. The center received multiple recognitions, including being named “One of the Best” in central New Jersey.
Actively involved in community service Joan has led successful programs working with home school students and high school students in a challenging urban setting. Joan has traveled internationally, visiting schools and learning about non-western cultures. In addition to a busy speaking schedule she teaches educational psychology at Bloomfield College (NJ), and consults for CTB/McGraw-Hill Education.

"It's watching the children when their parents and teachers tell their stories. If only we could bottle that feeling of awe."

Lindy Judd, Author
Lindy Judd is a mental health therapist with practices in Bernardsville and Little Silver, NJ.
Lindy earned a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She is licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW) and a clinical alcohol and drug counselor (LCADC). She conducts classes and workshops regularly on the topics of addiction and the family, eating disorders, and other mental health issues.
Golf and volleyball fill her spare time as well as any opportunity to dote on her nieces and nephews, Natalie, Malcolm, Phillip, Morgan, Tori, and Clarissa.
James Kevin Sullivan, Illustrator
Jim earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York’s School of Visual Arts and continues his education at New York University, the School of Visual Arts, and the AIGA. Jim is an award-winning illustrator and designer.
Jim regularly consults for New York area publishing companies. To date, his finest works are his children, Marjorie and Quinn, although he’ll admit he had some creative input from his wife Rose.
Deb Brady, Senior Curriculum Advisor
Deb Brady has enjoyed a full career serving as a school principal, vice-principal, resource teacher and classroom teacher in the Elizabeth and Paterson, NJ public schools.
Deb was the first principal to invite Joan to present an author program on What Went Right Today? The student assembly was conducted on the eve of the Benjamin Franklin Awards. No doubt Deb saw the importance of this book for children, families and schools. Now Deb Brady has joined the What Went Right Today? team as Senior Curriculum Advisor.
Deb’s impressive career as principal was enhanced through doctoral studies in Educational Leadership. Additional trainings included the Disney Institute for Leadership, The Merck Institute for Science Education and the Merck Institute for Mathematics and Instruction and Working With Families: Strengths, Supports, and Interventions.
What Went Right Today? for Deb is having the opportunity to join the WWRT team and share the message of optimism and hope with others. Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, a day on the golf course or time with her two sons always makes the day go right.

Julie Germann, Education Advisor
Julie Germann has extensive experience in school leadership with a proven track record for implementing meaningful programs. Recently retired, Julie held leadership positions as the Assistant Superintendent in the Monett School District and Principal of the Willard Intermediate School in the Willard R-II School District in Missouri. Julie comes to WWRT with rich experience as an independant education consultant whose clients include CTB/McGraw-Hill.
What Went Right Today? for Julie is becoming a part of a team of people who care about kids first! Helping teachers become better at their craft, or having the chance to mentor school leaders is always a sure way to make a "right" day, but "what went right today" is always best when shared with her family's "right" days, too!
Michael Struk, VP Business Development
Michael Struk is an award-winning business owner, entrepreneur and community leader. He was named Citizen of the Year in 2009 by the City of University Heights, Ohio. Michael is recognized for his ability to inspire family, friends, business associates and community members.
He also served in several management positions of increasing visibility and responsibility in the hospitality area, finally as the general manager in a prominent hotel chain in the Northeast US. Michael is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), an honor awarded to a small percentage of lodging professionals.
Michael is a proud graduate of Drexel University and St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City, NJ.
